The times, they are a changin' (said Bob Dylan, a long time ago). The Nature of You was a "release" of a lot of supressed anger over a number of years, and its "companion song," New Republican Vision, written a couple years later, on a very special and historic election day, has a noticibly different tone.
By the way, I haven't been writing any political protest songs lately. I've found a different pathway to inner peace. The times, well they're still a changin' - and I'm not so sure the world is any better off now then it was when these songs were originally conceived and written - but Planet Earth keeps spinning, and probably will long after mankind's mark has faded. If you're offended easily by alternative religious and/or political opinions, take a pass on these. And if you do tune in - no haters! If you disagree with my perspective, write a song about it. I'll be sure to give it a listen! And if you think you can guess my political leanings, you're probably way off base! The Red Piano Tour Series Some of the silly high jinks of the immortal band...
